Just a note to remind you that the closing date for the Anglesey County Show is 2nd July. There are in-hand and ridden classes in ring 5 near the stables and parking area. Anglesey show is a two day show and one of the biggest county shows in Wales as well as being the only one to hold Irish Draught classes.

The schedule is now available for the
Aintree National Show (27-28 July) – a super event which is going from
strength to strength and is set in the amazing surroundings of the world famous
racecourse. The Irish Draught classes are on the Saturday with a later start
time of 11am. For further details see
The North West Irish Draught and Hunter Show in on Saturday 17th August and has some exciting new additions to the schedule. The Holcombe Hunt have kindly sponsored a new Working Hunter Championship with a prize of £50 – well worth competing for! Also, a new class has been introduced for unregistered horses of Irish Draught type. This is especially for the many people we have talked to who feel that their horse has ID breeding but have no papers. We look forward to welcoming our regular competitors and meeting new ones – see you there! (www.nwidshow.btck.co.uk)

The Royal Three Counties Show has just been given 'Royal' status and I can confirm that the Irish Draught Classes will continue for many more years to come, but please can I ask all those who can to support the show?
Entries were low last year and it had been rumoured that the Three Counties had planned to drop us after this year. Having spoken to the show, this is not the case.

SUNDAY 5TH AUGUST 2012
After a very wet 2011 SW ID Show at Stourhead, near Mere in Wiltshire, we were faced with some enormous damage done to the parkland in front of the National Trust property of Stourhead House by lorries and trailers entering and leaving the showground.
After initial restoration of the parkland by the Stourhead Show committee, further remedial action was required to restore .......
Just to let you know that I have now sold my Irish Draught colt foal Lowhaygarth’s Sir Lancelot. So he can be taken off the for sale page on the IDHS web site. I am delighted to say I had an inquiry about two day after going on the web site , They came to see him a couple of days later , left a deposit . He left this morning on his long trip to south Lincolnshire . He was bought by Tracy Peplow, who is hopefully going to show him, so I am very pleased. Less than a week to be sold.
