Newsletter : Paper versus Paperless
In 2002 we started making selected parts of the Newsletter available online. Since 2007 we have made the whole newsletter available online, making it freely available to anyone who visited the website. Unfortunately it is no longer viable to continue this, and from 2012 the ‘Newsletter Online’ will only be available to members. However it will now be available in an exciting new format (see example here) and if you wish to continue reading it, please consider joining the Society. And if you are now thinking ‘But I don’t own an Irish Draught, a horse, etc; etc; etc) then a paperless Associate Membership will cost you less than 50p per week !!”
Please also read the article 'Financial News' in the Autumn newsletter, which will also provide some explanation for this decision (available here if you are reading it online).

If you are already a member, please consider a 'paperless' membership. You will save money, still receive the Yearbook, but the Newsletter, forms, etc; will be made available digitally (either by email or on the website) - this will cut down some of our expenses .... and also help us all to "think green".

Help for Heroes raises money to support members of the Armed Forces who have been wounded in the service of their country. We ask our supporters to “do their bit” to show these extraordinary young men and women that they are cared for by us.
Horseback UK is a charity that has been created to provide a safe, secure environment to aid those serving in the armed forces who have suffered acute stress as a result of active service. Combining equine therapy, nature therapy and adventure training, Horseback provides part of the rehabilitation process for serving personnel and veterans from the UK military.

Testimonials

Dear Mrs McGowan,
Just to thank you for putting my advert for sale of Lowhaygarth's Todhunter, so quickly on the Irish Draught web site, last week. Also to let you know he is now sold. I had an inquiry last Friday night, they came to see him on the Sunday, he was vetted on Monday and today he went to his new home in Derbyshire. Thank you very much.
Yours Sincerely,
Barbara Burton
